OCALA, Fla. – The Florida Tech men's and women's swimming teams wrap up day two of the 2026 Sunshine State Conference Championships on Thursday, Feb. 12.
In day two, SSC teams competed in the 1000 Free, the 200 IM, the 50 Free and the 200 Medley Relay.
Akos Hajagos walked away with a bronze medal as he placed third in the 200 IM. He earned his way into the "A" final with a school record time of 1:47.54 in prelims. Hajagos bettered his time as he swam a 1:47.20 in finals.
Emiel van Oord placed inside the top 10 in the 50 free as he notched a finals time of 20.49.

Dylan Ostolaza and
Lucas Mitchelmore joined van Oord in the "B" final. Pleiman was just behind van Oord with a time of 20.50 while Ostolaza swam a finals time of 20.54. Mitchelmore raced an identical time in the finals as he did prelims with a 20.56.
Abby Briggs was the lone representative on the women's side as she earned her way in the "B" final with a time of 2:07.77 in prelims. Briggs swam a time of 2:08.02 in finals.
Dan Kunin was the final Panther to represent Tech in the finals as he swam a 1:50.11 in the 200 IM which placed him in the "B" finals. Kunin bettered his time as he came in with a 1:49.28 in the finals.
