MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference has released weekly awards with Florida Tech men's lacrosse's Steve Ulrichs named SSC Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday, Mar. 16.
 
Steve Ulrichs, a redshirt senior from Richmond, Virginia, adds to his 2026 accolades as he caused two turnovers and picked up three ground balls.
 
Ulrichs is a part of the Tech defense that has held opponents to under double-digit goals, five times this season. He is currently fifth in the conference with 11 caused turnovers and 14^th with 20 ground balls. 
 
This is Ulrichs second time this season being named SSC Defensive Player of the Week. In addition to his two conference weekly awards, Ulrichs has been named to the USILA Team of the Week once.
 
Ulrichs and the rest of the Panthers are back in action on Saturday, Mar. 21 as they start SSC play against No. 18 Embry-Riddle.
