TAMPA, Fla. – Florida Tech men's track delivered a strong all-around performance highlighted by multiple top-10 finishes, personal bests across several events, and a standout showing in the 5000-meter with three Panthers placing in the top 20 at the USF Invitational.
The day opened with
Nathan Davis earning a seventh-place finish in the javelin throw, setting the tone early for the Panthers. Noah followed with a seventh-place showing of his own in the 3000-meter steeplechase, clocking in at 9:46.70.
In the 1500-meter,
Thomas Carpenter paced Florida Tech with a 20th-place finish at 4:09.10, while
Jake Greene posted a personal-best 4:11.93 to take 25th.
Several Panthers recorded career marks, including
Shawn Immanuel in the 100m (11.04), just behind teammate
Gavin MacCoy, and
Diego Estebanes in the 400-meter hurdles.
Malachi Johnson delivered a standout performance, running 48.07 to place 17th overall while finishing ahead of every Division II competitor in the field.
The 5000-meter proved to be Tech's strongest event of the day, with three Panthers finishing inside the top 20.
Tyler Herrera led the group with a 10th-place time of 15:37.84,
Rhett Turner followed in 15th after shaving 21 seconds off his personal best (16:00.75), and
Ethan Mudur rounded out the effort with a 19th-place finish.
