CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Florida Tech men's and women's teams returned to the pool for Day Three of the Queens Fall Frenzy on Saturday, Nov. 22. Friday's action saw the beginning of individual competition as relay action continued.
Through 24 events, the Crimson and Gray men have moved up to fourth place with 469 points, while the Panther women remain in 10
th with 210.5 points. The combined team score of 679.5 points keeps Tech steady in eighth place.
The highlight of the day happened in the men's 200 Free A Final, where
Efe Ongoren set a new school record in the event with a time of 1:36.04, which earned him third place and NCAA B-Cut qualification. Ongoren broke his own record of 1:37.36, which he set 364 days ago at the 2024 Fall Frenzy.
The 200 Free A Final also saw
Antoni Fronczak earn fifth place and NCAA B-Cut qualification with a time of 1:37.07.
Drew Culverhouse posted a B-Cut time of 1:39.08 in the 200 Free B Final, which was good fifth place.
Dan Kunin posted an NCAA B-Cut time of 47.54 in the A Final of the 100 Fly.
Owen Senske grabbed third in the 100 Breast B Final with a 55.97 finish.
Zach Reese (49.41) and
Dylan Ostolaza (49.65) took home fifth and sixth respectively in the 100 Back B Final.
The team of Ongoren, Mitchelmore, Culverhouse and Fronczak earned the 800 fre relay B-cut time of 6:32.88.
On the women's side,
Melissa Zucco nabbed sixth in the 100 Back with a time of 56.29.
In relay action, the men's 200 Medley quartet of Reese,
Matthew Heaphy, Emiel Van Oord and
Andy Pleiman earned seventh place thanks to their time of 1:28.53.

Both teams will conclude competition tomorrow Sunday, Nov. 23 for the final day of the four-day meet at the Queens Fall Frenzy. Prelims begin at 9:30 A.M. and the finals are slated to start at 5:30 P.M.
