OCALA, Fla. – The Florida Tech men's and women's swimming teams took on day four of the 2026 Sunshine State Conference Championships on Saturday, Feb. 14.
In day four, Sunshine State Conference members competed in the 500 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 200 Fly and 200 Free Relay.
Abby Briggs shaved off more than two seconds off her prelims time of 5:09.88 as she swam a 5:07.23 in the 500 free.
Antoni Fronczak earned a sixth-place finish in the 500 free as he touched the wall in 4:29.08. His teammate,
Efe Ongoren, was the top finisher in the "B" final as he swam a 4:28.06.
Melissa Zucco earned the Panthers points for her sixth-place finish in the 100 back and Zucco came in with a time of 56.81.
Isabella Sarvis placed in ninth with a time of 57.55, .20 faster than her prelim time.
Zach Reese represented Tech in the "A" final of the 100 back. Reese hung close in a tight heat as he touched the wall in 48.96.
Akos Hajagos and
Dan Kunin continued to have good showings in the fly as they placed fifth and sixth in the 200 fly. Hajagos swam a time of 1:46.54 while Kunin came in with a time of 1:47.79.
In the women's 200 free relay, the team of
Isabella Sarvis,
Melissa Zucco,
Torie Whitbeck and Mo Olhasso combined for a sixth-place time of 1:35.87. On the men's side,
Andy Pleiman,
Lucas Mitchelmore,
Emiel van Oord and
Dylan Ostolaza placed on the podium with a time of 1:19.40.

Both teams will be back on Sunday, Feb. 15 for the final day of the 2026 SSC Championships.
