Tech Wraps Up Day One of Nationals in the 800 Free Relay

EVANSVILLE, In. – The men's swimming teams finished competition in day one of the 2026 NCAA National Championships on Tuesday, Mar. 10.
 
There was only one event in the first day of nationals with men's and women's teams competing in the 800 free relay.
 
The men's team comprised of Akos Hajagos, Efe Ongoren, Lucas Mitchelmore and Dylan Ostolaza finished in 14th as they combined for a time of 6:34.50. 
 
Hajagos led off and completed his portion in 1:36.79. Ongoren followed up with a time of 1:37.04. Mitchelmore finished his leg in 1:38.71 and Ostolaza rounded out the relay with a time of 1:41.96.
 
The Panthers are back in action on Wednesday, Mar. 11 as Akos Hajagos will compete in the 200 IM.
