Florida Tech Panthers

Hall of Fame

New HOF Logo - May 2024The Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1986 to honor those persons who have made outstanding contributions to Florida Tech Athletics. Its purpose is to remember those who have brought distinction, honor and excellence to the University's athletics program.

Jeanne Flanagan was the Sports Hall of Fame's first inductee. Flanagan, a former Olympian, has set a high standard for all honorees that have followed her footsteps into the Hall. A member of Team USA's varsity eight, she helped her country capture its first gold medal in the event at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, Calif.

Former scholar-athletes, teams, as well as former coaches, administrators, and athletics staff are eligible to be nominated. Honorary members – consisting of those who do not meet the aforementioned categories – are also eligible.

For former student-athletes, a nominee becomes eligible for the Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame five years after leaving Tech. Nominees must have positively represented Florida Tech, both as undergraduates and as alumni. The selection shall be based primarily on athletic achievement, but other considerations will include character, leadership, integrity, academics, degree earned, and contributions to the teams and Florida Tech.

Entire teams are also eligible for nomination in the Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame. Eligible teams must have competed in the national tournament of their respective governing body and must be five years removed from that national competition participation.

Coaches, administrators, and athletics staff must have an outstanding record of contributions to the Florida Tech athletics program. Nominees cannot be considered while holding the position for which they are being nominated. Length of service will also be taken into consideration.

Honorary nominees will be considered, by their time, resources, and dedication; and how they have significantly supported, enhanced, and advanced the athletic programs of Florida Tech. Nominees must possess and display good character and citizenship.

The Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame is located along the entrance, inside the Clemente Center.
