Brandon Palmer was inducted into the Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame on March 19, 2016. Palmer played for the Florida Tech men's basketball team from 1997-99 and finished with a career average of 17.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, both top-10 in program history, while shooting .475 from the field. He holds the program record for career free throw percentage at .879 and single-season free throw percentage at .917. 

In 1998-99, Palmer played 27 games and recorded 510 points, 65 made three-pointers, and 58 rebounds. He hit 77 of 84 free throws for a 91.7 percent clip, which led the SSC and ranked second in all NCAA divisions. He also led the SSC, averaging 18.9 points per game, helped by scoring in double figures in 24 of 27 games and a 33-point performance against Eckerd on February 21. The conference recognized him on the All-SSC First Team and as the SSC Co-Player of the Year. He also earned Daktronics All-South Central Region Second Team, NABC All-District First Team, and All-American Honorable Mention.

In 1997-98, he played 29 games and tallied 464 points, 72 made three-pointers, 140 rebounds, 64 assists, 45 steals, and 20 blocks. Palmer averaged 16.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, which earned him All-SSC Honorable Mention.

Following his illustrious playing career, Palmer transitioned into a coaching role, further contributing to the sport he loved. He was named the men's basketball assistant coach in 1999, a position he held with dedication and passion until 2005, leaving a lasting impact on the team and the sport.
