Hall of Fame
Tom Folliard Jr., a standout member of the men's basketball team from 1985-88, was inducted into the prestigious Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 1996. His remarkable career is marked by numerous records, including being the program's all-time leader in steals (321) and ranking fifth in career three-point field goal percentage.
During his final season, Folliard Jr. compiled 370 points, 63 made three-pointers, and 45 rebounds. He earned his second All-SSC Honorable Mention selection.
He had his best season in his junior year, earning his first All-SSC Honorable Mention selection. He made a program-best 71 three-pointers and 96 steals in a single season. Folliard Jr. hit the most three-pointers in a single game with nine against Liberty Baptist and the most steals in a game with 16 against Illinois Tech on January 10, 1987.
Folliard Jr., in his first action as a sophomore, not only showcased his individual brilliance but also made a significant impact on the team's performance. He recorded 277 points on 118 made field goals and 41 free throws, and 49 rebounds in 27 games played, a performance that set the tone for his illustrious career.
