Chip Greek, an exceptional member of the baseball team from 1987-90, was honored with an induction into the esteemed Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 1995. Greek's dedication was unparalleled, as he never missed a game in his four-year career as a catcher/designated hitter, playing an impressive 190 straight games. His name is etched in the career program records, holding top positions in at-bats (722), hits (246), doubles (51), RBI (168), and runs scored (165). His batting average of .341 in four seasons also places him fourth in program history.

Starting the year on the Preseason All-America list, Greek helped the Panthers go 28-19 during his senior season in 1990. His impressive performance, including a .322 batting average, 44 runs, 13 doubles, 8 home runs, 60 RBI, and 27 walks, significantly contributed to the team's success. The conference would recognize his achievements with an All-SSC First Team selection, the second of his career. He would also earn All-South Region in 1990, further highlighting his impact on the team's performance.

In his junior season, Greek was a key piece in Florida Tech's historic season, going a program record 31-20. He hit .357, 17 doubles, two triples, a home run, and 37 RBI. Greek also broke the program's single-season runs scored record, crossing home plate 54 times during the year. He received his first All-SSC First Team and All-South Region honors in 1989 for his outstanding season. 

He showed his talents immediately in his first season at Florida Tech, cruising to a .374 batting average, 39 runs, 16 doubles, 3 home runs, 43 RBI, and 19 walks.
