Teresa Brantley Moon, a true icon of our women's soccer program, was inducted into the prestigious Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame on March 19, 2016. Moon, a four-year women's soccer team member from 2006-09, left an unparalleled legacy. She concluded her career as the most prolific scorer in program history with 38 career goals and 86 total points. She also ended her career with nine game-winning goals. Her achievements were recognized and celebrated when she became the first recipient of the SSC Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year awards in program history, both received in 2009.
In her final season, Brantley was the top player in the SSC and one of the best in the entire country. She played 20 games, tied the SSC lead with 14 goals, and tied a career-high in assists with four. Brantley was also second in the SSC with 32 points. On Brantley's run to 14 goals, she tallied the program's first hat trick against Eckerd on October 27. Her play earned her a spot on the All-SSC First Team and SSC Player and Offensive Player of the Year. She guided the Panthers to a school single-season record 15 wins, a second-round appearance in the NCAA Tournament, and a final national ranking at No. 24 in the Division II poll. The run led to a Daktronics All-South Region Second Team honor.
She registered six goals and two assists in 20 games during her junior season. Brantley helped guide the program to its first NCAA Tournament appearance, reaching the second round.
In 2007, Brantley scored eight goals in 16 games after an impressive freshman season. During her first year, she put 10 balls in the back of the net and set up four. As a freshman, she earned All-SSC Honorable Mention honors.
Brantley was a stellar athlete and scholar, and in her senior season, she was recognized on the CoSIDA Academic All-District Second Team.
