Hall of Fame
Dr. Frank Webbe was inducted into the Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 2020 for his 37 years as a Faculty Athletic Representative. Dr. Webbe contributed in many ways during those 37 years at Florida Tech.
Dr. Webbe's leadership roles, including his tenure as treasurer and executive board member of the Sports Neuropsychology Society, president of the Society for Sport Exercise and Performance Psychology of the American Psychological Association, and Dean of Psychology from 1985 to 1993, have left an indelible mark on the field of psychology. His contributions are a testament to his profound influence.
Dr. Webbe also served as the Faculty Athletics Representative Association as the Division II President and Vice President. He always thought about the scholar-athletes who served on the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Regional Selection Committee, the Florida Tech Sport-Related Concussion Project Management Program director, and a Florida Tech Athletic Advisory Council member. He would earn the David Knight Award in 2018 for his outstanding service to FARA and collegiate athletics.
He was part of the organizing committee for the Division II Faculty Athletic Representative Fellow Institute and the Advanced Leadership Institute. He is the only Florida Tech Faculty Athletic Representative to have served.
