Hall of Fame
Dylan Lewis was inducted into the Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. He was a men’s soccer team member from 1988-91. Lewis was the only Panther to contribute to both of Florida Tech’s 1988 and 1991 National Championship teams. He is also the only Panther to have his No. 3 jersey number retired. He helped Florida Tech to NCAA Regional appearances in all four seasons and became SSC Regular Season Champions three times. His efforts were recognized by Florida Tech and the Sunshine State Conference as he was inducted into the conference Hall of Fame in 2004-05 and part of the 2003 SSC Men's Soccer Silver Anniversary Team. After playing for Florida Tech, Lewis played professionally for the Orlando Lions.
In 1991, Lewis's leadership and exceptional skills were recognized when he was named the Adidas/ISAA Player of the Year and the NCAA Division II Championship MVP. His influence on the team was further evident in the numerous honors he received, including All-American, All-South Region, All-State FISCA and All-SSC First Team. As a critical defensive stalwart in their tournament run to the championship, the NCAA awarded him the Defensive MVP. Acknowledging his pivotal role, the Panther team also named him the Team MVP.
Lewis helped the Panthers make a run to the Final Four in 1990. He received All-SSC and FISCA All-State First Team recognition.
Lewis helped the team to the NCAA tournament his first two seasons, 1989 and 1990, including an NCAA Division II National Championship in his first season. He earned All-SSC Second Team honors in 1989.
