Florida Tech Panthers

Melanie Thebarge, a testament to dedication and hard work, was inducted into the Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 2020. Thebarge became the first individual SSC Champion in Program History, sprinting to a time of 19:25 in the 5K. She was also part of two SSC Champions and a runner-up team.

She finished in the top five at the SSC Championships for three consecutive seasons, taking fourth with a time of 18:35 in the three-mile and second in 1986 with a time of 19:29 in the 5K. Thebarge was named to the All-SSC First Team in those same three seasons.
