Hall of Fame
The 2001-02 women's basketball team was inducted into the Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, for becoming the first program from Florida Tech to reach the Elite Eight. They finished the season 26-6 overall and ranked No. 7 in the WBCA Coaches Poll.
Coach John Reynolds won SSC Coach of the Year, leading the Panthers to a share of the SSC Regular Season title and then defeating Rollins 59-56 for the SSC Tournament title.
Felicia Bell compiled the eight-most points in a season by a Panther with 534, making 203 field goals out of 506 attempts for 40.1 percent from the field. Bell earned All-SSC First Team for her offensive explosion. Shawntel Williams made the All-SSC Second Team, leading the team with 81 steals on defense.
