Martha Work, an unwavering supporter of Florida Tech Athletics since its earliest years, was inducted into the Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 2003. Work was a member of the Florida Tech Board of Directors and a founding member of the Panther Athletic Association, both since their inception in 1986. She was also the founding member of The Women's Locker Room. Work was the Panthers' number one fan, attending almost every basketball and softball game in program history and cheering on volleyball, soccer, and baseball. She even helped sew the first men's baseball uniforms for the Florida Tech "Engineers." She is known endearingly as "The Cookie Lady" for supporting women athletes by bringing homemade cookies to games. Work will always be a friend of Florida Tech Athletics.
