Florida Tech Panthers

Joseph Eckelman, a member of the heavyweight rowing team from 1970-74, was inducted into the Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 1991. Eckelman was part of Florida Tech's first varsity eight-oared State Championship in 1974. He also earned an All-State Eight-Oared Crew Member in 1973. After his collegiate career, Eckelman became a charter member of the Florida Tech Alumni Association and served as president from 1975-76 and 1978-91.
