Casey Baker, head women's rowing coach from 1977-78 and 1990-2006, was inducted into the Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 1986. In his second stint as head coach, Baker led the women's rowing team to five SSC Championships in 1999, 2001, and three straight from 2003-2005. In four seasons from 2003-06, he guided the team to four consecutive NCAA Championship appearances. During those years, the women's rowing team were ranked in the top-five nationally (2002-2006). He coached All-American selections Jessica and Maddie Smerin.

Baker served as the Florida Tech Men's Rowing Assistant Coach in 1984 and 1985. As a member of the men's rowing team in 1974, Baker helped the Men's Varsity Eight take first place at the 1974 State Championship. 

As a member of the US National Rowing Team, Baker competed in Quadruple Sculls in 1977 and 1983 on the Pan American Rowing Team.
