Jonathan Baksh, a baseball player at Florida Tech from 2004-06, was inducted into the Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015. His name is etched in the baseball record books, holding seven records on his own and another he shares with another player. The one that stands out among all is his sole record for career batting average at .412. He also holds the highest batting average (.469), hits (100), doubles (21), total bases (156), slugging percentage (.732),  on-base percentage (.523), and games played (55) in a season, a testament to his exceptional skills and dedication to the sport.

Jonathan Baksh's single-season records, achieved in his senior year, are a testament to his unwavering dedication and hard work. His outstanding performance led to him becoming Florida Tech's second-highest draft choice by the Blue Jays in the seventh round. As the SSC Batting Champion with a .469 batting average, he earned All-SSC First Team honors, ABCA/Rawling All-Region First Team and NCBWA All-America First Team. Baksh was also recognized by ABCA/Rawling again in their All-America Second Team. The Canadian Baseball Network also awarded him All-Canada First Team for the second consecutive season. Florida Tech also awarded him the Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, a testament to his academic prowess alongside his athletic achievements.

As a sophomore, he batted .422, the highest in school history until he broke the record the following year. In 55 games played, Baksh recorded 46 runs, 16 doubles, five triples, one home run, 45 RBI, 23 stolen bases, and 18 walks. He earned his first of two All-SSC First Team recognition and also took home the SSC Player of the Year in 2005. The NCBWA also awarded him Third Team All-America honors.

In his freshman year, he contributed early, playing 49 games and tallying a .316 batting average, 24 runs, nine doubles, two home runs, 26 RBI, 19 stolen bases, and 17 walks. The Canadian Baseball Network recognized his incredible first season with an All-Canada Honorable Mention award.??????

Academically, Baksh made the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll list all three seasons.
