Hall of Fame
Les Hall, head baseball coach for 19 seasons from 1978 to the present, was inducted into the prestigious Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 1996. Hall holds a career record of 472-397-1 and counting. He is among the top-30 all-time winningest coaches in NCAA Division II history. Hall also served as Associate Athletic Director and Departmental Compliance Officer.
This past season, Hall led the Panthers to a 25-21-1 record and coached three All-SSC selections, including Chris Santoro, who was named to the first team. He combined for a 74-65 record in the previous three seasons, including two winning seasons.
However, it was the 1992 season that was Hall's most successful, guiding a Panthers team to a 28-23 record and to a South Region Championship, making the NCAA Division II World Series appearance. Four Panthers made an All-SSC Team, two on the second team, and two earned honorable mention. In 1991, Hall coached the Panthers to their first-ever NCAA Regional appearance after a 29-18 record. Six Panthers earned spots on the All-SSC Team, including three on the first team. Tom Finney received an ABCA All-American Third Team selection, the program's first All-American.
In 1989, Hall coached Florida Tech to its most wins in a single season, 31. Four Panthers earned All-SSC honors, two on the first team and two with honorable mention.
In his first 10 seasons, Hall compiled a 235-214 record and two All-SSC selections as he was building the program.
